“Soulmates Among The Stars”

A long time ago, I read a poem written by Nikita Gill, about how we are all forged together by the components of stardust, our souls the result of something so incredible.

It makes me think about the term “soulmates”, and I imagine two souls being created from the same star. They go on to search for each other, and once found, an explosion of indescribable feeling and emotion occurs.

That feeling is something I have tried to capture in this new piece. A celebration of colour, gold leaf and glitter adorn the canvas. I cannot wait to share the finished look with you all, but for now just a little sneak peek.

“93 Percent Stardust”

We have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins,
carbon in our souls, and nitrogen in our brains.
93 percent stardust, with souls made of flames,
we are all just stars that have people names.
